A documentary about the recording of Pink Floyd‘s classic 1975 album, Wish You Were Here, will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on June 26.  Titled Pink Floyd: The Story of Wish You Were Here, the documentary was produced with the approval and cooperation of all of the legendary space-rock group’s surviving members.

The video features new interviews with guitarist David Gilmour, bassist Roger Waters and drummer Nick Mason, as well as archival conversations with late keyboardist Rick Wright.  It also boasts clips of Gilmour and Waters performing segments of some of the the album’s songs.

Released in September 1975, the album went on to top the charts in the United States, the UK and many other countries.  It includes such enduring Floyd tunes as the title track, “Welcome to the Machine” and “Shine On You Crazy Diamond.”  The latter song is an homage to the band’s original frontman, Syd Barrett, who was ousted from the group in the late 1960s after struggling with drug and mental-health issues.

The Pink Floyd: The Story of Wish You Were Here DVD and Blu-ray will feature a variety of extra features not included in the broadcast version of the documentary that premiered on VH1 Classic last month.
