Elton John is known for having a bit of a temper, and it reportedly was on full display during his concert Friday night at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Elton started his show 20 minutes late, and then during the show, he kept angrily splashing water on stage — which the stagehands kept having to mop up. At one point, he tossed a stool, and also launched into a profane rant against his management team, suggesting that someone was getting “bleeping fired.”
The paper reports that the show also ended 25 minutes early. At the end of each show, Elton allows fans on stage with him to dance to “Saturday Night’s Alright (for Fighting),” but on Friday, the band stopped abruptly and people were led back offstage. Then, according to the paper, Elton came on stage for the finale, “The Circle of Life,” and left without saying anything to the audience or thank the band. There was a five-minute ovation, but Elton didn’t reappear.
A source told the paper, “He made an ass of himself.”
