Slash is getting ready to celebrate another milestone.  The guitarist, who was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his work with Guns N’ Roses, will get his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the category of recording.

Slash will receive the 2,473rd star on the Walk of Fame during a ceremony taking place in front of the Hard Rock Cafe on Hollywood Boulevard on July 10 at 11:30 a.m. PT.  Legendary film producer Robert Evans and actor Charlie Sheen will speak at the event.

“Slash is widely considered one of the greatest rock guitarists of all time,” producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremonies Ana Martinez said in a statement.  “We are proud to place his name among the stars on our fabled Hollywood Walk of Fame.”

Last month, Slash released his second solo album, Apocalyptic Love, featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators.
