Once again, The Doobie Brothers will serve as headliners for the annual B.R. Cohn Charity Fall Music Festival. The 2012 edition of the star-studded event will take place October 6 and 7 at the B.R. Cohn Winery in Glen Ellen, California. In addition, to the Doobies, the festival’s lineup also includes The Turtles, Eric Burdon and the Animals, Dave Mason, Kenny Loggins and blues great Buddy Guy, among others.
This year’s event is dedicated to the memory of longtime Doobies Brothers drummer Mike Hossack, who died in March at age 65 after a battle with cancer. The festival is organized by the winery’s owner, Bruce Cohn, who has managed the Doobies since the 1970s.
In conjunction with the music festival, a celebrity golf tournament will be held on October 8 at the Sonoma Golf Club in Sonoma, California. Money raised by the concerts and golf tourney will go toward a variety of local charities.
