As The Rolling Stones celebrate their 50th anniversary, Charlie Watts says the real Keith Richards is different from the image that is portrayed in the media. In an interview with Britain’s Q magazine, the drummer says, Keith is very quiet.
“The image he puts over or people put on him, he’s not like that at all. Or not very often,” he says. “He’s introverted and incredibly articulate, even when he was on a lot of junk. He’s strong.” Watts adds, “My relationship with Keith is very good, but we don’t do anymore than laugh at each other.”
