A second performance has been scheduled for Dave Grohl‘s Sound City Players, the star-studded band comprised of some of the artists who appear in the Foo Fighters frontman’s Sound City documentary. The concert will take place on January 31 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. That’s the same day that Sound City will hit 44 movie theaters across North America for a special, one-night-only screening.
Accompanying Grohl at the show will be John Fogerty, Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks, Rick Springfield, Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen and many others. Tickets for the concert will go on sale on Wednesday at 12 p.m. PT via Ticketmaster. As previously reported, a version of the Sound City Players featuring a similar lineup also will perform this Friday in Park City, Utah, to celebrate the premiere of Sound City at the Sundance Film Festival.
For more information about the one-night-only screenings of the documentary, visit SoundCityMovie.com. Sound City will be made available for purchase on February 1, while the film’s soundtrack, Sound City — Real to Reel, will be released on March 12.
Additional performances by Grohl’s Sound City Players will be revealed in the coming weeks.
