Paul McCartney has signed on to be one of the headlining acts at the 2013 Outside Lands festival, which will take place August 9-11 at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.  The fifth annual edition of the event also will offer performances by fellow headliners Red Hot Chili Peppers and Nine Inch Nails.

In addition, this year’s lineup features an eclectic list of artists, including Daryl Hall & John Oates, Willie Nelson, Fishbone, D’Angelo, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Vampire Weekend, Camper Van Beethoven, Gary Clark Jr. and Dawes, as well as McCartney’s son, James McCartney.

Tickets for the Outside Lands festival will go on sale on Thursday at 12 p.m. PT.  To see the complete artist roster for the extravaganza, head over to SFOutsideLands.com.

This is the second 2013 U.S. festival appearance McCartney has scheduled.  He also will play a headlining set at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, which is being held June 13-16 in Manchester, Tennessee.
