The Who‘s Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey will be on hand for a launch party celebrating the release of the Super Deluxe Edition of their band’s classic 1969 rock opera Tommy.  The event will take place this Tuesday at a secret location in central London at 6:30 p.m. local time.

The bash also will feature the premiere screening of a new documentary titled Sensation — The Story of The Who’s Tommy, which will air on BBC television later this year.  In addition, the band is giving one lucky U.K. fan and a guest the chance to attend the party.  To be eligible, you must be a U.K. resident and have a valid Facebook account and email address. You can enter the contest at either The Who’s or the Universal Music Rock Legends’ Facebook page.

The Tommy: Super Deluxe Edition is scheduled to be released on November 11.  The four-disc box set includes a remastered version of Tommy, a plethora of previously unreleased studio and live recordings and a Blu-ray disc boasting a new 5.1 surround sound mix of the album.  It also comes with a hardcover 80-page book featuring rare photos, various pieces of memorabilia and a replica Tommy poster.
