  • Newly elected Representative Salmon to be sworn in today

    SANFORD–Brad Salmon of Harnett County, who was victorious in the November General Election, will be sworn in Thursday afternoon as the 51st House District Representative.   • Final preparations are underway for the annual MLK Community celebrations

    SANFORD–Events and activities are scheduled all over the United States for the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, birthday observance next weekend. At least three events are scheduled locally with a wreath laying ceremony at the MLK Park, a community observance and several Pay-It- Forward activities.
