  • A Sanford woman is still missing

    SANFORD–A missing persons report was filed with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office NEW YEAR’S Eve after a 25 year old Janel Ophelia Livingston of Villanow Drive failed to return home. Her mother said she left home on December 27 to go to Wal-mart and has not been seen since. She was wearing brown uggs, black leggings, and a black and brown top.   • 3 persons jailed on hefty bonds for drug offenses

  • A 17 year old High Point youth has been arrested on Sanford murder charge

    SANFORD–17 year old Timothy Dequan Thompson of High Point has been arrested and charged in connection with the December 8 shooting death of 31 year old Stacey Morrison on Maple Ave. He is being held without bail in the High Point Detention Center.
